Overview of the grant
This $10 million grant initiative supports incubators, pre-accelerators, accelerators and other similar initiatives. It will provide funding for them to equip clean technology start-ups and researchers with the skills and resources they need to succeed in Australian and international markets.
These grants will help significantly reduce emissions in NSW by creating an environment where clean technology start-ups and innovators can advance their commercial and entrepreneurial skills. These grants will:
- build a strong pipeline of clean technology start-ups and innovators
- create an environment which supports clean technology innovation
- accelerate the commercialisation of clean technology innovations.

What funding is available?
We are offering grants between $250,000 - $2 million to support clean technology ecosystem projects. Further details related to funding and co-contributions can be found in the guidelines.
Who is eligible?
These grants are open to organisations looking to establish a new, or scale-up an existing, clean technology incubator, pre-accelerator or accelerator in NSW.
They are also open to organisations that want to provide additional commercialisation training to clean technology researchers at public research institutions in NSW.

The application process
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for clean technology ecosystem grants closed on 22 April 2022.
The EOI is the first in a two-stage competitive application process. Successful EOI applicants will be invited to submit a full application in mid-2022.
The application and assessment process for this stream is competitive. Submissions will be assessed against the eligibility and merit criteria outlined in the guidelines.
