Electricity and gas bills contain information about your energy use. Pricing structures can be confusing and it can be difficult for business customers to understand their bills.

If you have concerns about your energy bill or any other energy matter, talk to your retailer. If you feel the issue has still not been resolved, contact the Energy and Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) to lodge a formal complaint.

Your energy bill is driven by a range of factors.

In NSW, you can choose which electricity and gas retailer you want to go with.

If you need a new electricity service or want to alter or upgrade your existing setup, you will need to contact the distributor in your area.

If you think your meter reading is incorrect and your bill is high, you can ask for a special meter read. Your retailer is allowed to charge a fee for this service.
